Given :-

Two numbers are in the ratio of 3:4 . If 5 is subtracted from 1st number and

10 added to 2nd number, ratio becomes 1:2.

To Find :-

Number

Solution :-

Let the number be 3x and 4x

When 5 subtracted from 1st number

3x - 5

When 10 added to 2nd number

4x + 10

3x - 5/4x + 10 = 1/2

4x + 10 = 2(3x - 5)

4x + 10 = 6x - 10

4x - 6x = - 10 - 10

-2x = -20

x = -20/-2

x = 20/2

x = 10

Number are

3x = 3(10) = 30

4x = 4(10) = 40
