<b>Let the common multiple be x</b>

So, let the 1st number be 5x and 2nd number be 6x

After 7 subtracting from both of them,

<b>1st number becomes 5x - 7</b>

2nd number becomes 6x - 7

<b>According to the given condition</b>

5x - 7/6x - 7 = 4/5

☛ 5(5x - 7) = 4(6x - 7)

☛ 25x - 35 = 24x - 28

☛ 25x - 24x = -28 + 35

☛ x = 7

∴ 1st number ☛ 5x

☛ 5 × 7

\large{\boxed{\boxed{\rm{35}}}}

∴ 2nd number ☛ 6x

☛ 6 × 7

\large{\boxed{\boxed{\rm{42}}}}
