let the common ratio be 'x'

so the ratio is 2x and 5x

therefore, 2x+5x=112

                  7x=112

                 x=112/7

       so x = 16

the numbers are : 2x = 2*16 = 32

                              5x = 5*16 = 80

let us take 2:5 as 2x and 5x

               2x+5x=112

               7x=112

               x=112/7

               x=16

               2*16=32

               5*16=80

check:

          32+80=112
