Let's

The common factor be x

Then the numbers is 3x & 5x

then the factors is

3x/5x

the factors are increasing by 5

 \frac{3x}{5x} = \frac{2}{3} \\ \frac{3x + 5}{5x + 5} = \frac{2}{3} \\ 9x + 15 = 10x + 10 \\ 15 - 10 = 10x - 9x \\ x = 5
