Answer:

Ratio between two numbers = 3:5

Let first number = 3x

and second number = 5x

Now According to the condition,

3x + 10 5x + 10 = 5:7

3x+10

5x+10

⇒ 7 (3x + 10) = 5 (5x + 10)

(By cross multiplication)

21x + 70 = 25x + 50

⇒ 21x25x = 50 - 70 -4x = -20

20-5 4 ⇒ 4x = 20 ⇒ x =

... first number = 3x = 3 x 5 = 15

and second number 5x = 5 x 5 = 25

Hence numbers are 15, 25 Ans.

let the numbers be 3x,5x

ATQ,3x:5x=3:5

(3x+5):(5x+5)=2:3

9x+15=10x+10

x=5

therefore 3x=15 5x=25
