Heya

(x  - y)  :  (x + y) :  xy = 1 : 7 : 24

7(x - y) = (x + y)

6x = 8y \\  \\  =  > 3x = 4y

Now,
24(x + y) = 7xy

 =  > 8(4y + 3y) = 7 (\frac{4}{3}  {y}^{2} )

Since y is not equal to zero,
8(7) = 7( \frac{4}{3} y)

 =  > 8 =  \frac{4}{3} y

 =  > y = 6

And hence,
x = 8

Hence, the product of the two numbers is
xy = 48

Hope it helps ^_^
