$6x = 8y \\ \\ = > 3x = 4y$

Now,
$24(x + y) = 7xy$

$= > 8(4y + 3y) = 7 (\frac{4}{3} {y}^{2} )$

Since y is not equal to zero,
$8(7) = 7( \frac{4}{3} y)$

$= > 8 = \frac{4}{3} y$

$= > y = 6$

And hence,
$x = 8$


Hence, the product of the two numbers is
