Hii friend,
Let the first number be X
The the other number = (X-3)
According to question,
Product of two numbers=54
Therefore,
(X-3) × X = 54
X²-3X = 54
X²-3X-54 = 0
X²-9X+6X -54 = 0
X(X-9) +6(X-9) = 0
(X-9) (X+6) = 0
X -9 = 0 OR X +6 = 0
X = 9 or X = -6
Therefore,
First Number = 9
And,
The second number = -6

Buddy here is ur answer....
Let the number be x
and the 2nd number =x-3
ATQ,
we have ,
x(x-3)=54
x^2-3x-54=0
x^2 -9x+6x-54=0
x(x-9)+6(x-9)=0
(x-9)(x+6)=0
Hence x=9,-6
