Given : Two numbers differ by 5, Twice the greater number is 2 more than thrice the smaller number.

To Find  :  the numbers.

Solution:

Let say smaller number = x

=> greater number = x + 5  as Two numbers differ by 5

Twice the greater number = 2(x + 5) = 2x + 10

thrice the smaller number.  = 3x

=> 2x + 10  = 3x + 2

=> x = 8

smaller number =  8

Greater number = 13

Number are 8 and 13
