Here is the solution:

Let the numbers be a and b,
Where a > b,

Now , From the question,

a + b = 39 --------(1)
a - b = 11 -----------(2)

Adding (1) and (2)
=> we get,
2a = 50,
=> a = 25,

Substituting this in (1),
=> 25 + b = 39,
=> b = 14,

Therefore : The numbers are 25 and 14,

Let the numbers be x & y respectively .

By the first given condition ,

x + y = 39......................................(1)

By the second given condition ,

x - y = 11........................................(2)

[By adding equation no.(1) & (2)]

x + y = 39
x - y = 11
________
2x = 50
x = 50/2
x = 25

Substitute x = 25 in equation no. (1)

x + y = 39
25 + y =39
y = 39 - 25
y = 14

Hence,
x = 25 & y = 14

Therefore,
The two numbers are 25 and 14.

hope this helps ! ! !#
