Two numbers ratio is 8:5. If we add 8 in big number and from small number we subtract 5, then the big number is double than small number, then which is the small number ?​

Assume

Let the no.s be 8x and 5x rspectively

According to the  question putting values ::

$\sf8x +8 = 2(5x-5)$

$\sf8x+8 = 10x - 10$

$\sf2x = 18$

$\sf x = 9$

So, the no.s are 8X9=72 and 5X9=45

Verification

72 +8=8]…(1)

45 - 5 = 40…..(2)

Therefore (…1) =2(…2)
