Two object of mass 100g and 200g moving along the same line and direction with velocity 2m/s and 1m/s respectively the colite an after the collision, first object moves with velocity of 1.67m/s. Find the velocity of second object?

\huge\underline\mathfrak{Object\:1:}

Mass, \sf{M_1}= 100g = 0.1kg.

Initial velocity \sf{U_1} = 2 ms-¹

\huge\underline\mathfrak{Object\:2:}

Mass, \sf{M_2}= 200g = 0.2 kg.

Initial velocity, \sf{U_2}= 1ms-¹

Final velocity, \sf{V_1}= ?

\sf{Final\:velocity\:V_1=1.67\:ms^-1}

By law of conservation of momentum,

\sf{M_1U_1+M_2U_2=M_1}

\sf{V_1+M_2U_2}

Second velocity \sf\frac{0.4-0.167}{0.2}=1.67ms^-1

\bold{\large{\boxed{\sf{\pink{V_2=1.67ms^-1}}}}}
