Explanation:

two objects in a and b having masses 100 kg and 75 kg moving with velocity is 40 km per hour 60 km per hour respectively answer the following which will have greater inertia which will have greater Momentum which will stop first if equal negative acceleration is applied on both which will travel.

Answer:

1] As Inertia is a measure of mass, so object with mass 100kg will have more inertia.

2]Momentum =mass x velocityMomentum of first object=100x40x5/18=1111.1kg-m/s

Momentum of second object=75x60x5/18=1250 kg-m/s

Therefore second object has greater momentum.

3]If a negative acceleration is applied to both bodies then the body with smaller initial velocity will stop first that is First Object A.

4]From Third equation of motion -- V²-u²=2as.

Therefore body having higher velocity will travel a greater distance that is  second object B.

5]The body having higher momentum will provide greater impulse during collision so answer is Object B .
