Two objects of mass 5kg and 8kg are at rest. F1 and F2 are two forces applied on the both the boxes respectively. if the speed of both the objects after 5 seconds becomes 16m/s and 15m/s respectively then the value of F1+F2 IS -

Answer:

Explanation:

First Object:

Mass (m₁) = 5 kg

Initial Velocity (u₁) = 0 m/s

Final velocity (v₂) = 16 m/s

time = 5 s

We know that,

Force = mass * acceleration

And acceleration = (v - u) / t.

Hence,

F₁ = 5 * (16 - 0) / 5

→ F₁ = 5 * 16/5

→ F₁ = 16 N

Second Object:

Mass (m₂) = 8 kg

Initial Velocity (u₂) = 0 m/s

Final Velocity (v₂) = 15 m/s

Time = 5 s

Hence,

F₂ = 8 * (15 - 0) / 5

→ F₂ = 8 * 15/5

→ F₂ = 24 N

F1 + F2 = 24+16

            = 40N
