Given:-

Mass of the first body(m1)=100g

=>100/1000

=>0.1kg

Mass of the second body(m2)=200g

=>200/1000

=>0.2kg

Initial velocity of the first body(u1)=2m/s

Initial velocity of the second body(u2)=1m/s

Final velocity of the first body(v1)=1.67m/s

To find:-

Final velocity of the second body(v2)

Solution:-

According to law conservation of momentum,we get----

=>m1u1+m2u2=m1v1+m2v2

=> 0.1×2+0.2×1=0.1×1.67+0.2v2

=>0.4=0.167+0.2v2

=>0.233=0.2v2

=>v2=0.233/0.2

=>v2=1.165

Thus,velocity of the second body after collision is 1.165m/s.
