Hello friend

Here is your answer!!

In the question..

Given:

The mass of first object (m1) = 100g = 0.1kg.

The mass of the second object (m2) = 200g = 0.2kg.

Initial velocity of first object (u1) = 2m/s.

Initial velocity of Second object (u2) = 1m/s

Final velocity of the first object= 1.67m/s.

We have to find the, final velocity of the second object,

means,(u2) = ??.

By using the formula,

m1u1 + m2u2 = m1v1 + m2v2

(0.1 x 2) + (0.2 x 1) = ( 0.1 x 1.67) +(0.2 x v2)

(0.2) + (0.2) = (0.167) + (0.2v2)

0.4 = 0.167 + 0.2v2

0.2v2 = 0.167 - 0.4

0.2v2 = 0.233

v2 = 0.233/0.2

v2 = 1.165 m/s.

Therefore the final velocity of the second object is 1.165 m/s.

I hope this will helps you.

Thanks.
