so according to the problem the body with the greater mass that is m1 will fall when dropped in vacuum this is because the more re mass the greater will be the acceleration.....and since gravity doesn't works.with air or vacuum hence the greater will be the falling rate hence the body with greater mass will reach the ground first....

Both objects will reach the ground at the same time.

Detailed Explanation:

The force of gravitation acting between two bodies is given by

F= GMm/r²

Where G= Gravitational Constant

M= Mass of the Earth

m= mass of the object

r= distance between the object and the earth

Also, from Newton's second law F=ma

Using both the expressions of force

ma= GMm/r²

a= GM/r² _(1)

a is the acceleration due to gravity. It is represented by g.

From equation _(1) we can see that acceleration due to gravity depends only on the Mass of the earth. It does not depend on the mass of the bodies.

Now, if objects are dropped from the same height and in a vacuum then both of them will reach the ground at the same time irrespective of their masses.

Hence, both objects will reach the ground at the same time.
