Two objects of the masses 200g and 400g are moving along the same line and direction with velocities of 4m/s and 2 m/s, respectively collide each other. After the collision,the first object moves at a velocity of 3.34 m/s. Determine the velocity of the second object.

apply momentum conservation
m1u1 + m2u2 = m1v1 + m2v2
convert gram in kg
200g = 0.2 kg
400g = 0.4kg

now
0.2 × 4 + 0.4 × 2 = 0.2× 3.34 + 0.4× v2
0.8+ 0.8 = 0.668 + 0.4 v2
1.6 - 0.668 = 0.4 v2
0.932 = 0.4 v2
or
v2 = 0.932/ 0.4
v2 = 2.33m/s is the answer

comment if answer is correct..☺
