Two objects ‘repel each other’. This repulsion could be due to (d) either a ‘magnetic’ or ‘an electrostatic force’.

There are different forces between objects which either “attract or repel” each other. For example; magnetic force.

We know that a magnet is composed of two poles,

1. North poles

2. South poles.

Same poles repel each other whereas opposite poles attract each other. This ‘force of attraction’ between opposite poles is called as magnetic force. Similarly in electrostatic force, ‘opposite charges’ attract each other whereas the same charged objects repel each other.
