As per Newton's second law of motion net force on an object is equal to the mass of the object multiplied by the acceleration of the object.

Hence, we can see that force is not an independent quantity rather its value depends on directly measurable quantities like mass and acceleration.
Keeping that in mind, in order to measure force we need to know the values of these quantities first.
However, there are some simple tools that we use in everyday life that measure force using physical mechanisms for example a spring balance used to measure weight of the objects is actually measuring force applied by gravitational pull of earth on that object.
