In a parallelogram the opposite angles are equal.

Therefore 5x - 8 = 2x + 82

5x - 2x = 82 + 8

3x = 90

x = 90 / 3

x = 30

5x - 8 = 5 ( 30 ) -8 = 150 - 8 = 142

2x + 82 = 2 ( 30 ) + 82

= 60 + 82 = 142

So All the angles of a parallelogram are 142 , 38 , 142 , 38

Hope it helps.

Answer:

The angles of a parallelogram are 142°, 38°, 142°, 38°

Step-by-step explanation:

  • A parallelogram is a four-sided figure in which opposite sides are parallel
  • The opposite sides and angles of the parallelogram are equal.
  • The sum of the adjacent angles is 180°.

Step 1 of 1:

  • Since opposite sides are equal, then the value of x is

          5x - 8 = 2x + 82\\5x-2x=82+8\\3x=90\\x=30

  • 1 angle is 5x-8\\

        =5(30)-8\\=142

  • 2nd angle is Adjacent Angle=180-142=38

Thus, All the angles of a parallelogram are 142°, 38°, 142°, 38°
