M/(M+32) = 0.5

M = 0.5M + 16

0.5M = 16

So M = 32

32/(32+48) = 32/80 =

32/(32 + 16n) = 0.4

32 = 0.4(32 + 16n) = 12.8 + 6.4n

n = (32-12.8)/6.4 = 19.2/6.4 = 3

So the formula for the 40% M is MO3
