where l= 18, b= 15 ,h= 21
= 2( lb+ bh+ lh)
= 2 ( 18*15+ 15*21+ 21*18)
=2( 630+135+378)
= 2(1143)
=2286 dm
Total surface area of second box, where L= 42,b= 15 ,h= 9
= 2( lb+ bh+ lh)
= 2 ( 42*15+ 15*9+ 9*42)
=2( 270+315+378)
= 2(963)
=1926 dm
Second package needs less quantity of cardboard to make , by 2286 - 1926= 360dm
