One morning, a peacock was going over to the stream to drink water. While he was drinking, a crane sat next to him also to drink. As soon as the peacock saw the crane, he thought of mocking him. So he said, ''What type of a creature are you?''. The crane was startled with this question and said ''I'm a bird, like you, haven't you ever seen a crane before?''.
The peacock replied ''What did you do in your past life so god made you ugly?''. The crane was ashamed with this question. He knew he was no match to a peacock's beauty. But still he was not angry. He held his head up high and said ''What did you do in your past life so that god had to make you flightless?''. Saying this he flapped his great big wings and flew away till he was not to be seen. The peacock stood there as he was. He learned his lesson and swore he would never insult someone again.
Moral - If you have a pencil, they have a paper.
(Meaning) Everyone has their own abilities.
