two parallel lines l and m are cut by a transversal t .if the interior angle on the same side on transversal are (2x-8)and (3x-7).find the measure of each of these angles.

Since corresponding alternate interior angles are equal. we get the adjacent interior angle of 3x-7 as 2x-8. And the linear angle on a straight line must be 180. This leads to 3x-7+2x-8=180. On solving this we get x=39. On substituting the x values we get the angles as 110 degrees and 70 degrees.

ellenmelloharry: Oh! I am sorry for that. I did not correctly calculated x value. But now recheck my solution. You will get it. Actually x will be 39. I have typed 19 mistakenly. And found the angles based on 19 as x value. So Ignore that.
