two parallel sides of an isosceles trapezium are 31 cm and 15 CM. its non parallel sides are each equal to 70 cm find the area of the trapezium.​

Answer: let the trapezium be ABCD=AB=15cm BC=70cm CD=31cm DA=70cm

hight of the trapezium =√bc²-ec²=√70²-8²=√4900-64=√4836cm=69·5cm

area of the trapezium =1/2×sum of parallel sides×hight

                                      =1/2×15+ 31×69·5=23×69·5=1598·5cm²
