In this trapezium, dividing into one rectangle and two triangle

According to figure,length of rectangle is 6 cm and remaining part of largest parallel side of trapezium is divided into two base(4cm) of right -angled triangle .

Now, by Pythagoras theorem

5²= 4²+P²

25-16= P²

P²=9

P=3cm

Ar. of trapezium= 1/2 × sum of parallel side × distance between parallel side

Ar.of trapezium= 1/2×{6+14}×3

=1/2×20×3

=10×3

= 30cm² Ans.
