two parallel sides of trapezium are 58 cm and 42 cm the other two sides are 17 cm each find the area of trapezium

Answer:

Height of trapezium = √{(17)² - (58-42/2)²}

Height of trapezium = √(289 - 64)

Height of trapezium = √225

Height of trapezium = 15 cm

Two bases = 42 , 58 cm

Area of trapezium = sum of two bases/2 * Height of trapezium

Area of trapezium = 42 + 58/2 * 15

Area of trapezium = 50 * 15

Area of trapezium = 750 cm²
