Answer:

Draw a line BC parallel to AD.

Draw a perpendicular line BE on DF

ABCD is a parallelogram.

BC=AD=25cm

CD=AB=60cm

CF=77-CD=77-60=17 cm

For Δ BCF

s =(25+26+17)/2 =68/2=34

By Heron's Formula of triangle=√s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)

=√34(34-25)(34-26)(34-17)

= 204cm²

Now area of ΔBCF=1/2 x base x height

=1/2 BE x CF 204cm²

=1/2 BE x 17BE

=408/17 = 24cm

Area of Trapezium =1/2 (AB+DF) x BE

=1/2(60+77)x24

=1644cm²

Thus, the area of the trapezium is 1644 cm².

Hope it helps.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given a trapezium whose parallel sides are 77 cm and 60 cm and the other sides are 25 cm and 26 cm.

we have to find the area of trapezium.

AD=60 cm

BD=77 cm

AB=25 cm

DC=26 cm

EC=BC-BE=77-60=17 cm

In triangle DEC

By Heron's formula,

Area of triangle DEC can be calculated as

Now, area of trapezium can be calculated as
