I think 60° angle is from horizontal.

Final Answer :  \frac{10}{\sqrt{3}} m/s

Steps:
1) We have,
 v_A = 10m/s leftward
Rod is Rigid.

Distance between any two points on road will be constant.

=> Velocity along the length of rod will be equal.
 =&gt; v_B \cos(30\degree) = v_A \cos(60\degree) \\ <br />=&gt; v_B \frac{\sqrt{3}}{2} = v_A \frac{1}{2} m/s \\<br />=&gt; v_B = \frac{10}{\sqrt{3}} m/s

Hence, Velocity of point B is \frac{10}{\sqrt{3}} m/s upward.

Answer:5.8m/s

Explanation:

Velocity of a (Va) =10m/s

Velocity of b (Vb)=?

a=60degree

tan 60degre =Va/Vb

Vb=Va/tan60

=10/under root 3

=5.8m/s
