mass of particle A = 10 g= 0.010 kg

Velocity, v = 12 m/s

momentum = mv

= 0.010 kg X 12 m/s

= 0.12 kg m/s

mass of particle B = 20 g= 0.020 kg

Velocity, v = 15 m/s

momentum = mv

= 0.020 kg X 15 m/s

= 0.3 kg m/s

Total momentum = 0.12 kg m/s + 0.3 kg m/s

= 0.42 kg m/s downwards
