Answer:

V = u+v/1+(uv/c²)

given u = v = 0.9c

put value and solve

V = 180/181C = 0.9945c (Ans.)

Given:

Two particles come towards each other with speed 0.9c

To find:

The relative speeds.

Explanation:

we will used the formula

                                   v=u+v

Where, v represents relative velocity as per classical mechanics.

Now, we will to use the relativity addition formula

                            u_{x} = \frac{u +v}{1 +\frac{uv}{c^{2} } }

If we put the v and u from our question as  0.9c

= (0.9c +0.9c)/(1+0.9×0.9)

= 0.994475 c

Answer =0.994475 c
