Two particles moves along the positive direction of x-axis, uniformly with a speed of 8m/s and second velocity=4m/s. At the initial moment the first particle was 21metre to the left of the origin and second 7metre to the right of the origin, when will the 1st particle catch up with 2nd where will this take place.

Answer:

35m

Explanation:

Relative velocity =8−4=4 m/s

Relative distance =28 m

So, time = 28/4 =7 sec

Distance by (2) in 7 secs =4×7=28 m

So, they meet at (7+28,0)=(35,0)
