The initial accelerations of two particles 1 kg and 2kg placed 50 cm a part are 5.336×10^-10 m/s²and 2.668×10^-10 m/s²

  • Let us go through the given parameters in the question

       m1 = 1kg

       m2 = 2kg

       distance(d) = 50cm

  • The GRAVITATIONAL FORCE acting between them F= (Gm1m2)/d²
  • Acceleration of particle m1 = F/m1

                                             = Gm2/d²

                                             = 6.67×10^-11×2/0.5²

                                             =5.336×10^-10 m/s²

  • Acceleration of particle m2 = F/m1

                                             = Gm2/d²

                                             = 6.67×10^-11×1/0.5²

                                             =2.668×10^-10 m/s²

  • The initial accelerations of particles are 5.336×10^-10 m/s² and 2.668×10^-10 m/s²
