Center of mass from Mass $m_1  = 2 kg.m

Given:

Two particles of masses 1 kg and 2 kg are located at x = 0 and x = 3 m.

To find:

The position of their center of mass.

Formula used:

Center of mass = \frac{m_1d_1 + m_2 d_2}{m_1+m_2}

Where      m = mass

                d = distance of mass

Explanation:

Center of mass can be depend on from where it can be measured.

So it is simple to measure one particle mass because the distance from that mass can be zero so calculation is easy.

Center of mass from Mass m_1 = \frac{m_1d_1 + m_2 d_2}{m_1+m_2}

                                                 = \frac{1(0)+ 2(3)}{1+2}

                                                  = 2 kg.m

Center of mass from Mass m_1  = 2 kg.m
