Two particles of masses m and 2 m with charges 2 q and 2 q are placed in a uniform electric field E and allowed to move for the same time. The ratio of their K.E. will be

●2:1

●8:1

Explanation:

Mass ( m ) = m , 2m

Charge ( q ) = 2q , 2q

Acceleration ( a ) = qE/m

a = 2q × 2q × E / m × 2m

a = 2q² × E / m²

Charge( stationary or moving) can get kinetic energy by electric field. If E is electric field and charge is q with mass m,then acceleration a=qE/m. This acceleration increases velocity and hence kinetic energy, If a charge particle moves with velocity v in magnetic field B, then force on the charge particle is q(vXB).
