(b) If the car has a mass of 1200 kg, what will be its change in velocity?

Using the Formula,

Impulse = Force × Velocity

⇒ Impulse = 200 × 3

⇒ Impulse = 600 N-s.

Hence, the Impulse provided to the car is 600 N-s.

b)Impulse J= m ΔV

⇒ ΔV= J/m

⇒600 Ns/1200 kg

=0.5 m/s
