Given:

Two person start from the opposite ends of a 90 km straight track and run to and from between the two ends.

To find:

How many times they pass each other

Solution:

From given, we have,

The speed of first-person is 30m per second

Speed of first person = 30 × 18/5 = 108 km/hr

And the speed of the other is 125 per 6 m per second.

Speed of second person = 125/6 × 18/5 = 75 km/hr

Distance = Speed × Time

They continue the motion for 10 hours.

Distance covered by first person = 108 × 10 = 1080 km

Distance covered by second person = 75 × 10 = 750 km

Rounds completed by first person = 1080km/90km = 12 rounds

Therefore, both the persons meet 12 times.
