Answer:

In 5 days A do = 4 unit of work

efficiency = 4/5

in 6 days B do = 5 unit of work

efficiency = 5/6

Ratio = 4/5 : 5/6 = 24:25 (A:B)

Total work = 49*29

question me kuch misprint hai Bhai ????

Given:

Number of days A can do work = 29

Number of days B can do work = 29

A takes rest after = 4 days

B takes rest after = 5 days

To find:

Time taken to complete the work if both work together

Solution:

Work done by A = 1/29

Work done by B = 1/29

If A and B do work together for 4 days, then -

work  done after 4 days = 2 × 4 = 8

After 4 days both work alternatively for 2 days, thus -

unit work done after 6 days = 8 + 2 = 10

After 12 days work will be = 20 unit

After 16 days work will be = 20 + 8 = 28

At the last day - 17 day B also do 1 unit, thus work done =  29

Answer: Work will be completed on 17th day
