Two persons start from A and B and travel towards B and A, respectively. Their speeds are integral values and in the ratio 3:5.If they meet exactly 1.5hr after they start, which of the following can't be the distance AB?

Let speed of A = 3x

let speed of B = 5x

As they are moving in opposite directions , their relative speed = 3x+5x

= 8x

time = 1.5 hr

distance = relative speed × time

= 8×1.5x = 12x

As x is an integer ,

therefore , distance is a multiple of 12

Clearly 32km can't be the distance as x would become 2.5
