Given:

A = 10 \pm 0.1 \: and \: B = 20 \pm 0.2

To find:

Value of A + B ?

Calculation:

  • The integral values have to be used to perform the operations as required required (i.e. +,-,×,÷).

  • However, the errors should always be added.

A + B  =( 10 \pm 0.1) + ( 20 \pm 0.2)

 \implies A + B  =( 10 + 20) \pm (0.1 + 0.2)

 \implies A + B  =30\pm 0.3

So, value of A + B is 30\pm 0.3
