Given

Total length of the rope =11 m

If the rope is cut into 3 pieces

Length of the first piece = 2 3/5=13/5 m

Length of the second piece =3 3/10=33/10 m

We have to find out length of the third piece =x

x= total length -(length of the first piece + length of the second piece)

=11 - (13/5+33/10)

=11-[(26+33)/10]

=11/1 - 59/10

=(110-59)/10

=51\10

=5 1/10 m

Therefore

Length of the remaining piece =x =5 1/10 m

Let the Length of remaining part be ( x ) m,

According to the question :

Total length = 11 m

=> 2 3/5 + 3 3/10 + x = 11

=> x = 11 - 13/5 - 33/10

 = > x =  \frac{110 - 26 - 33}{10}  \\  \\  => x =  \frac{51}{10}

Length of remaining part is 5 1/10 m
