two pieces of wood ru bring together would have more friction than wood rubbing against smooth metal . why/why not?

- I'VE GOT YOUR ANSWER. ACTUALLY RUBBING WOOD AGAINST WOOD WILL ALWAYS BE HAVING MORE FRICTION THAN THAT OF RUBBING WOOD AGAINST SMOOTH METAL BECAUSE WOOD HAS A VERY ROUGH SURFACE AS THAT COMPARED TO METAL,AND ALSO YOU'VE SAID THAT THE METAL IS POLISHED AND SMOOTH...!!
