Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Work done by C in 1 min

= (1/60+1/75−1/50)

= 5+4−6/300=3/300=1/100

Hence, C can empty the full tank in 100 min.

Answer:

Time taken by Pipe C to fill a tank = 15 min.

Step-by-step explanation:

Time taken by Pipe A to fill a tank = 60 min.

Time taken by Pipe B to fill a tank = 75 min.

→ Sum of time taken by both the pipe to fill a tank

= 75 + 60

= 135 min.

Now,

A/Q

If all the three pipes are open then the time taken to fill the tank = 50 min

→ Average of all three pipes = 50

60 + 75 + pipe c / 3 = 50

135 + pipe c = 50 × 3

= 150

Pipe C = 150 - 135

= 15 min

So,

Time taken by Pipe C to fill the tank = 15 min.

Hope it is helpful to you.
