Answer:

1 Hour is the answer I think

A=2H

B=3H

both pipes are opened simultaneously

then,

B-A=1Hour

Given :-

➝ Time taken by A to fill a tank = 2 hours

➝ Time taken by B to fill a tank = 3 hours

Both the pipes are opened in empty tank

To find :-

➝ Time taken by the tank to fill

Solution :-

➝ Part of tank filled by A = ½   (In 1 hour)

➝ Part of tank filled by B = ⅓   (In 1 hour)

➝ Part of tank filled by both A and B = ½ + ⅓ (In 1 hour)

➝ Part of tank filled by both A and B =  ⅚

Time taken by A + B to fill the tank = ⁶⁄₅ hours or 1 hour 12 minutes
