Answer:

The total time taken by both pipes to fill the tank is 18 mins

Step-by-step explanation:

Time taken by tank A in 1 min=1/30min Time taken by tank B in 1 min=1/45mins

Let the tank filled by both in 1mins be 1/t

Therefore,

1/t=1/30+1/45

1/t=3+2/90= 5/90

1/t=1/18

By shifting t to RHS and 18 to LHS we get 1*18=1*t

Therefore t=18 mins

The total time taken by both pipes to fill the tank is 18 mins

Answer:

The total time taken by the two pipes to fill the tank is 18 mins.

Explanation:-

Time taken by Tank A in 1 minute=1/30 min

Time taken be Tank B in 1 minute=1/45 min

Let the tank filled by both in 1 minute be 1/t

Therefore,

1/t=1/30+1/45

1/t=3+2/90=5/90

1/t=1/18

By shifting t to RHS and 18 to LHS we get 1*18=1*t

Therefore,t=18 times

The total time taken by the both pipes to fill the tank is 18 mins.✔️
