Two pipes can fill a cistern in 14 hr and 16 hr respectively. The pipes are opened simultaneously and it is found that due to leakage in the bottom, 32 mins extra are taken for the cistern to be filled up. If the cistern is full, in what time would the leak empty it?

here given that one of two pipes can fill the tank in 14 hours and other pipe can fill a tank in 16 hours here we find both pipes powers becomes 15 then both pipe can fill a tank in 112 upon 15 hours there is leakage so total time is 112 upon 15 + 32 upon 60 means 8 hours now dividing 112 by 8 we find powers of a, b and c now subtract 14 from 15 this is power of leakage then Divide 112 by power of leakage we get 112
