pipe a in 1 hour =
 \frac{1}{x}
pipe b in 1 hour =
 \frac{1}{x + 3}
 \frac{1}{x}  +  \frac{1}{x + 3}  =  \frac{13}{40}
40=169 +39
 {x}^{2}
40=208 x2
