ATQ, perimeter of the square land = perimeter of the rectangular land

given :-

length of the rectangular plot of land = 70m

breadth of the rectangular plot of land = 56m

therefore it's perimeter = 2 ( l + b )

= 2 ( 70 + 56 )

= 2 × 126

= 252m

since, the perimeter of both plot of land is same. i.e perimeter of the square plot of land is also 252m.

now, side × 4 = perimeter of a square

➡ side × 4 = 252m

➡ side = 252/4

➡ side = 63m

the side of the square land is 63m.

let's find the area of both lands.

area of the rectangular one = length × breadth

= 70 × 56

= 3920m²

area of the square one = side × side

= 63 × 63

= 3969m²

we can clearly see that area of the square plot of land is greater by = 3969 - 3920

= 49m²

hence, the area of square plot is greater by 49m².
