Answer:

Length of the square = 64m.

Length of the rectangle = 70m.

Perimeter of the suare = 4*Side = 4* 64 = 256 m.

Let breadth of the rectangle = B.

Perimeter of the rectangle = 2(70 +B).

Now, According to question,

2*(70 + B) = 256

140 + 2B = 256

2B = 256 - 140

2B = 116

B = 58 m.

Area of the rectangle = 58 *70 = 4,060 sq m.

Area of the square = length * length = 64 *64 = 4096 sq.m.

Square has more area by 36 sq.m.

Step-by-step explanation:

perimeter of square=70m×4=280m

Perimeter of rectangle=280m

breath=40m

length=1/2×280m-40m=100m

Area of square=Side×Side

=70m×70m

=4900²

Area of rectangle=Length×Breadth

=100m×40m

=4000m²

∴Area of square is greater than area of rectangle by 900m²
