The perimeter of the square = the perimeter of the rectangle =
4s = 2(l + b)
4 × 64 = 2(70 + x)
256 = 140 + 2x
-2x = 140-256
-2x = -116
x = -116/-2
x = 58 m
b = x = 58 m
The area of the square = s × s
= 64 × 64
= 4096m^2
The area of the rectangle = l × b
= 70 × 58
= 4060m^2
The area of the square is greater and by 36 is the difference
